Do you have a personal/family emergency evacuation plan?

after witnessing the aftermath of katrina and what she did to the unprepared evacuees, mozz and i decided it was time to put together our emergency evacuation plan.

we started by simply going to www.redcross.org.

there is a search engine on the top right side of their website and i entered "emergency disaster plan".

What does your desktop wallpaper look like?

there are so many to choose from over the net.

i usually use the basic wallpapers that windows xp provide.. i love using "azul" wallpaper to remind me of the summer, since our summers don't last long.. .

this time of year i turn to the "autumn" wallpaper with the nice colored leaves.. .

Thanks to JH, I am losing weight, by being able to do this Armageddon dance 24/7.

Thanks to President Bush for allowing me to dance in front of his lovely home.

Thanks to the Watchtower for giving me a reminder over my head, (the arches), to be ecstatic that I am out!

yeah... i have internet!.

actually i have power, water, sewer and cable.

only problem i also have holes in my roof.. i arrived last night about 1 am.

Can't wait for your book!! I am sooo glad you came out of this horrible mess with only holes. I think about your flat screen TV, every time I go to the store and look at them. Our Big Screen went out recently. We are now watching TV on a 19 inch. I just can't let go of the money (or credit) to buy a new one. HL

i'm not looking fwd to going to the grocery store this evening.

i imagine that by now, most of what we should have on hand will be empty shelves in the stores.

we're gonna try and get some shtuff in here and begin cooking tomorrow.

DOOGIE: You just reminded me of something my older brother once said.

I was about a very young nicey 13 year old. my brother, about 17. I was watching the old black and white movie about the Titanic. There was a guy getting drunk. He was having a grand ole time. I was crying and my brother walked through the room. He sat down to watch.

He said that "That is the only way to go!!!!!" Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm He did have a point. 'But there was nothing else that the guy could do.

DOOGIE, DAMN-IT. You do have a choice. Go take your beer, Hurry and get a motel reservation inland, Talk to Leander, see if he has gotten some extra weed, Pack a whole bunch of munchies, pictures, your Bose stereo equipment, Your flat screen (you heard about Bryan's didn't you), your loved ones, and get the HELL OUT. And thanks for the memories. My brother has disappeared again. Where are you? HL

God hates poor people

clearly, if people who suffer the most are the people god hates the most, then god clearly hates poor people the most.

he causes them to live on the streets, be unable to evacuate from his wratharamas, sends droughts to starve them, disease to kill them by the millions.. yup, pretty clear that god is po'ed by poverty.. so, while you shouldn't love money, you should avoid being without it.. if god hates homosexuals he has a very bad aim.. he missed greenwich village on 9/11.

DO YOU THINK THE EVACUEES IN HOUSTON FEEL PARANOID ? I think I would be.

NORTH TO ALASKA !!! There was a couple of large areas here in Oklahoma that were all geared up to accept evacuees. 2000 to 3000. Beds were made, care packages were laid on them with care. Clothes were on hangers in a makeshift store. Everything was ready. Nobody showed up. I hope they get them ready again, I feel that we are going to need them again.
